1. My mom's cat Paisley and the new 85 mm 1.8 lens she got us to share! (used to take this picture while I was testing it out really quickly). I can't wait to use it again.
2. Our Wednesday walks (the dogs and I that is).

Notice the tangled leashes. Those two are quite the handful sometimes but I love them. =)
3. My new job. So far I am really loving it. My mom is awesome and the job is great. I get to hang out with really cute kids most of the day, which anyone who knows me would tell you how much I LOVE kids. So ya, so far it's pretty great.
4. The book (Vanity Fair Portraits-which I've wanted since it came out) my boyfriend got me just to say congrats on finishing my first week at my new job. I know... aww!!! He's ridiculously amazing!! =) Ugh... love that man!

.new logo.
I made my own new logo today, just for fun! It literally took me probably ten minutes but I heart it. I drew it using my graphire tablet that my brother Jeff bought me a while ago (thanks again bro!). I love that it looks like a little kid drawing =). Makes me happy.

things i .LOVE. wednesdays
I have decided to start having regular updates weekly on this blog to keep me posting. So every Wednesday I decided to post an image of something that I love.
And for the first week I .LOVE.....

.Francine.
My sister-in-law made her for me while my mom was visiting and sent it back with her. Isn't she absolutely adorable?! A big thanks to Leah for her! I love her little heart shaped wing and boots =) She's so fancy!
Also, sorry for not posting, or even photographing much recently. It's sad really. I had began to get the wind back in my sails and be filled with motivation and inspiration while working on my grad school admission portfolio but then when I got rejected I kind of lost it for a bit. I think it stung a bit because they invited me to the campus and it was looking like they liked me and my work and wanted me there. So, I think I let myself get my hopes up the slightest bit which made it hurt more. I understand that it was due to budget cuts and they could only take 1-2 students but it's still kind of an ego crusher. It's taken me a little bit to try and get myself motivated again.
I finally got a job working for a lovely local photographer as her assistant and I'm very excited about it. I think it will be a great job and what a relief to finally get a job in this economy. The back-to-back rejections were really starting to wear on me. I think it will be just what I need to get me excited about my own work again, or at least I hope.
