So.. I just got back from an amazing vacation with my mom. We went to New York for a couple days and then to New Hampshire to stay with my family. I have lots and lots of pictures that I will upload later but first I have to put watermarks on them due to an impersonator I just found out about.
Apparently there is some psycho girl posing in aol chatrooms as "Riley DeWester". My last name, a different first name. Then they are apparently stealing all of my stories and pictures from my blog and pretending to be me. This is incredibly sickening and disturbing to me. I mean how sad and pathetic does your life have to be that you have to pretend to be some random unspecial girl from California?
The more disturbing part is that she is bringing my family and friends in it by pretending they are hers, such as my little niece. That's just sick. She also managed to make a poor guy fall for her using this information and he opened up to her and let her speak with his family, etc. He is the reason I found out about this because he told me once he figured out who she really was.
I don't want to talk about it too much on here as it makes me feel sick and very upset. I just know she reads this blog obviously and I want her to know that she is a very disgusting person and that she needs to stop. I will probably be making my blog private or something to prevent any of this from ever happening again. So this may be the last of this blog that you guys see but I'm not sure. I'm trying to figure it all out.

Scary and sickening.
I came across your blog through your flickr account. I don't remember what I was searching for exactly but I fell in love with your "fairytale" photos and...(ooooooh I just remembered! I was searching for hairstyles/haircuts and your picture came up in the results.) You capture amazing photos. Shame on the fool who is pretending to be you. -Cristina
I also came across your blog via Flickr and enjoy reading your take on life and how you capture it through photography. I'm also sympathetic as I've had to ward off some weirdos on Flickr who left some unsettling comments about my daughters.
I really hate how the bad apples of the world--who in so many ways are weak and pathetic--manage to have enough power to ruin things for everyone else.
Good luck.
Gosh that is really sick. I always wonder about the crazy people out there and if they look at my blog. I love your photo's and would hate to not see them just because of sick people. Sorry this is happening to you.
i completely agree! this blog is awesome, i love reading it, and it's sad that people have taken advantage of the lovely stuff posted here...
That's awesome that you were able to relax after school. Well deserved, I'm sure!
I agree with everybody else, that is so terrible. It would be a shame that the people who do enjoy reading your blog & looking at your awesome work can't because of someone like this. I'm worried about these types of people clicking onto my blog too! Shameful.
That is terrible: I love this blog and ur Myspace - you know me (Martin from the UK) from way back, as you did the wonderful artwork for my CD and your bro Jeff reviewed my music favourably etc etc..
There are some really weird people out there. I just had some heartache of a similar nature on a smaller scale: someone posing as an established singer pretending to be interested in one of my songs - imagine the disappointment and letdown I felt when they turned out to be a fraud..what kicks these weirdos get from pulling these stunts escapes me completely. Hope it is all resolved for you soon, Martin x x
Don't stop this blog !! Please !! ;-)
That is very unfortunate. I hope that you do not stop this blog your images are great. I have had trouble with internet weirdos also, please keep up the good work and don't be discouraged.
I totally go along with all others comments, especially aurele's.
I love both the blog and flickr photos, and just hope some sad person hasn't spoiled it for us all.
This is off topic, but I came across your flickr images and would be interested in using one of them in one of my publications. Can you please contact me so we can discuss purchasing the rights? Thanks.

Ohmigosh. That explains why you've not been updating your Flickr! Your reason is the same reason as to why I closed down my former Flickr account to open a new one (I sent you a msg through my new Flickrmail but I guess you didn't get it I supposed). I was getting tired of ppl stalking me through my blogs. The experience has taught me to be a lot more selective of what I post online. It's so terrible that this woman is doing this to you. I don't know if you'll check this blog now and then and see my comment. If you do, just know that I'm sending you my best regards.
Just don't stop what you do best. I really love your work!
